Missed call text back, St. Louis
Missed-call text back for St. Louis: why answering beats texting.
Missed-call text back is simple: you miss a call, and software texts the caller a message. It is better than silence. But the caller is usually already dialing the next company. Here is what text-back does well, where it falls short, and what we do instead.
Front Office from $99/month; with the AI receptionist $249/month. One-time $297 setup, month-to-month. No sales calls.
Why a missed call costs more than the call
These are third-party figures from vendors and surveys, quoted from the pages linked. They are not Anchor Co Media results.
What missed-call text back does
A caller reaches voicemail or no answer. A system texts their number within seconds, something like "Sorry we missed you, what do you need?" If the caller replies, you continue by text.
It works best when the caller is willing to wait, such as quote requests or non-urgent service. It works worst for urgent calls, where the person has already moved on by the time the text lands.
What we do instead, and what we don't
Front Office answers the call. The AI receptionist picks up what you miss, gets the caller's name, number and need, and emails you a summary. The caller gets a person-speed response while they are still on the line.
To be plain: we do not currently send automated text-back messages to callers. If a text-back tool is the only thing you want, a standalone tool will do that. If you want the call answered and the lead captured, that is what Front Office does.
If you do use text-back, the rules matter
Texting a person who just called you is a response to their contact, but promotional follow-ups need consent, carriers expect registered sending numbers, and replies like STOP must be honored. Keep the text to one informational message and don't start a marketing sequence from it. This is general information, not legal advice; check the TCPA rules (47 CFR 64.1200) or ask a lawyer.
How Front Office handles it
Text-back: reaches them after
Useful if the caller waits. The call has already ended by the time the text sends.
AI receptionist: reaches them during
The call is answered, the details are captured, and you get a summary to act on.
Use the audit first
The free audit shows whether your site and phone setup lose leads, before you buy either tool.
Do you need both?
Some businesses run an answering layer for calls and a text layer for web leads. Start with the one that fixes your biggest leak. The audit scores your phone, chat, after-hours path and form so you can see which that is.

Questions
Do you offer missed call text back?
Not as a separate feature today. Front Office answers the missed call with an AI receptionist instead and emails you the details. We would rather tell you that than imply a feature we don't ship.
Does missed-call text back work?
It helps when callers are willing to wait. Quo's analysis of 16.7 million missed calls, as reported by Carly, found 69% of missed business calls get no callback within 48 hours, so some quick response beats none. Answering the call is faster.
Is missed-call text back legal?
A single informational reply to someone who just called you is generally treated differently from promotional texting, but consent, STOP handling and number registration still matter. This is general information, not legal advice.
What does Front Office cost?
$249 a month plus $297 setup for the AI receptionist, with a website and AI chat included. Website alone is $99 a month.
How do I see where I'm losing leads?
Run the free missed-lead audit. Enter your website and phone number and it scores your site in about 10 seconds.
See where your phone and site leak leads
The free audit takes your website and phone number, scores six checks, and emails you the report. We don't call, text or submit your forms.
